The garden is coming along nicely. I hope to have pictures tomorrow. I need to recharge some batteries for the camera.
So far we have 1 choclate mint, 1 pineapple mint, 1 big beef tomato plant, 1 yellow pear tomato, basil, sage, hyssop, chives, watermelon radishes, cosmic purple carrots, 4 new mexico chiles, 1 sweet pimento pepper, 1 zuchinni, 1 longneck summer squash, 1 white scallop squash, 2 strawberries, 1 burpless cucumber, 1 lemon cucumber, artichoke, a fennel planted and mulched.
We still have 3 varieties of corn, popcorn, sweet peas, snow peas, pole beans, bush beans, spaghetti squash, 4 anaheim peppers, 4 red bell peppers, a habenero pepper, three atlantic giant pumpkins, more radishes, several varieties of lettuce, two varieties of okra, 2 varieties of beets, and edamame(soy beans)to plant.
Finally we need to cultivate our onions and garlic from last year, harvest some early rhubarb, spread our native mints into ever expanding beds. I think with having a small dog in addition to three cats I might get some apples off the apple tree this year. In the previous 4 years we have been here we have let the squirrels eat them and throw them at the cats.
That's how we are becoming greener this week.
